You may recognize my sister Amie, she has been on this blog before. This is her adorable friend, Anna, too! They let me use them to shoot in some of my new favorite places in San Diego. Robin is an esthetician at Equilibrium Fitness in San Luis Obispo, CA. We spent some time shooting at Tolosa Winery in the very hot sun this morning. She was a little camera shy, but I think every woman deserves to have an alone photoshoot of their fabulousness. :)

I am so happy that I got to meet Jaelyn today! She is such a little cutie. Come on, look at her little ponytail, that should be enough to make your heart melt. :)

She was NOT a fan of laying on the grass.

She is getting her first tooth, which caused her to want to eat her shoes (and everything else). This is her doing some baby gymnastics to get those delicious shoes off her feet and into her mouth. :)

If you have been following my fitness blog (Equilibrium Fitness) at all, you know that I just finished my 12 week Transformation Challenge. Courtney was the big winner from the challenge, losing 26 lbs and over 18 inches! She is amazing, and I'm so proud of her!!!

This is not my first time meeting Christian. He loves kitties (a kid after my own heart). His mom, Emilee, and grandma take care of my kitties at The Cat's Nest in Arroyo Grande. I was overjoyed when they wanted me to take their family pictures. We had a really beautiful day to work with, and even if Christian wasn't completely happy with me snapping away, I think we got some beautiful photos of their family. :)

Sometimes I get crazy ideas...like putting babies in baskets. :)

Desireé and Jeremy will be expecting their first child next month. It's a boy! We had a great time shooting at their house in Nipomo yesterday. Desireé had lots of fun ideas for her maternity shoot, she was even prepared with props. I love it. I wish them all the luck with their new arrival. :)

Kory {HS Senior Portraits} Part I - September 2008

This is my brother and youngest sibling, Kory. He will be graduating High School this spring. I am a very proud sister. He's a very talented musician as well. These are Part I of his senior portraits. Even though the weather was extremely foggy on the coast, San Luis was perfect for picture taking. Expect to see more soon! He's a ham.

Although all my packages include CDs, prints are always a nice option. I am now print friendly. I am still working on the price sheet and order form but they are available. If you are looking to get prints let me know what size you are looking for.

I enjoyed spending time with Kent, Liz and Ella this morning in Avila. As soon as they got there the sun starting shining, so I knew it was going to be good. They are such a sweet family, and Ella has the cutest little smile. When I was going through their film I loved every picture. What a photogenic family! You will probably remember Ella from her birthday party in May.

WAY back in the day I used to dance. I have always loved how beautiful and graceful dancers are. Heidi (who you will remember as my June bride) and Fran were nice enough to volunteer some of their time to help me take some beautiful pictures. This is my aunt and cousins. They are visiting from very HOT Las Vegas, so we cruised down to the beach for a little photo sesh. I couldn't blame the girls for not wanting to sit still long enough for me to take pictures of them. It was such a beautiful day...perfect beach weather.

It's been such a long time since I've seen my aunt, and this is my first time meeting the girls. They are so fun and full of energy. They both have their own quarky little personalities. I'm glad I got to meet and hang out with them and now they have these photos to remember their vacation to California. :)

This is one of my favorite families in the world!!! Erin and I go WAY back, all the way to Jr. High. I couldn't ask for a better friend. Her parents, John and Carol, are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. It's hard not to love them. :) We had a really fun time shooting yesterday. They recently moved from the "country" of Arroyo Grande to the village so we were able to get both houses in and the beach of course. They were cracking me up all day, they have such a fun relationship with each other. They are amazing! I'm happy to be able to capture some beautiful moments for them.

John and Carol are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary next month. Congratulations!

Zack and Heidi have been together since their sophomore year of high school. You could tell that they had so much love for each other. They had a very intimate ceremony on Spooner's Cove beach in Montana De Oro with their immediate families. I was honored that they would have me there to take pictures. I recently went down to Southern California to photograph Jessika's baby shower. I don't know that I have ever been to a baby shower as an adult, so it was interesting to see. I am posting some pictures of the games, they were entertaining to watch. Baby Taleia will be here in about a month!

Staci, Michael and Jeremiah are such a sweet little family. They will be expecting a new arrival to their family this summer. Although Jeremiah was a little resistant to having his picture taken, I think we were still able to get some cute shots in. Alexia is so cute, and I wanted the opportunity to capture her again. This little girl does not like the outdoors. Both times I have seen her around grass, she has been in tears. Her mom is so sweet, and she is such a cute little girl. I love working with them. She did fall down at the end of our shoot, I hope she's okay!

Let me start by saying that we are having the most beautiful weather right now. It was perfect at Shell Beach, sun shining, nice cool breeze. Perfect. Michelle is due in a month, they will be welcoming Jacob into their family. Ana is excited to have a little brother. Michelle is going to have her hands full. We had a fun morning at the beach shooting, while Ana collected/observed sea creatures.

Rover and Charlie are some of the most well behaved dogs that I have met. I met Rover two years ago when they first got him, and he was a totally different dog. He made friends with me and licked my hand. Charlie is such a sweetie. After looking over her pictures, I'm pretty sure her parents should have called her The Black Blur because that's how she came out in a lot of them. It was hard to see expressions on her face because she is a black dog, but I was able to capture a few really cute shots. They were super fun to work with and have so much energy!

Although taking photos of people is my passion it doesn't mean I don't like to take pictures of everything. These are actually product shots for my work. www.thealcove.com I was not surprised that these little guys were really hard to photograph. While they did not move, they were very small and had a lot of detail I wanted to capture. They stand about 2.5" tall. I wasn't originally going to share them, but I thought "why not?".

Kitties, kitties everywhere! March 2008

I love kitties! I was lucky enough to meet someone who loves kitties as much as I do. When I first moved back to the Central Coast I didn't have anywhere for my little kitties to go. We can't have cats at our house. :( I found this place in Arroyo Grande, CA which is absolutely the Ritz Carlton for kitties. They get their own "condo" and so much TLC. I think for Ames and Alli it was better then being at home.

Be sure to check out www.thecatsnest.net if you ever need to board your cats. There is no better place. Carolee, the wonderful owner of The Cat's Nest, let me come take some pictures that they have there. Some introductions are necessary...

So I decided that if I am going to do all this work on this other webpage, I should just buy my domain. Yes, you are reading the blog of the girl who owns CDYphotography.com . I am super excited! I have already been doing a lot of work on it, and it will be soon be ready to go. Keep that site marked to check on soon.

I am moving forward, and I'm so excited. I also took some really great shots of my cats, and some others today. I will post them soon.
